How to do Authentication?

All Bayero University Kano students “fresh or returning” students must authenticate their studentship before starting the registration process.

BUK Registration Credentials for New Students

Newly admitted students of Bayero University Kano need the following credentials to be able to do their registration.

• JAMB Number.
• Admission letter serial number.
• Registration Number for authentication.

Note:- After successful authentication, a username and password will be generated for you.

BUK Registration Credentials for Returning Students

Returning students of Bayero University Kano need the following credentials to be able to do their registration successfully.

• JAMB number.
• Registration Number.
• Last Session’s Username.

Note:- New Password will be generated for you after successful authentication. All passwords given to you must be kept safe.

How to Login

After successful authentication students can use their new username and password to login in order to start the registration process.

For those that have forgotten their username and Password, there is a Retrieval Page where students are expected to enter their Registration number and JAMB number correctly. Below is BUK registration procedure which are as follows:-

Profile Update

Students must first update their profile on the BUK portal. Note that students are strictly advised to update their phone numbers and emails as they are used on their BUK Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF).

Student Information Form (SIF)

After profile update, students can generate, download and print out their Student Information Form (SIF).

BUK Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF)

It is very important for students both new or returning students to generate, download and print a BUK Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF). Registration fees will be reflected on student’s BUKPPF, to be paid using Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platform.

Make sure you carefully go through this carefully, read, understand and learn how to follow the payment procedure.

Note:- BUK will not be liable for any lost of payment (payment is non refundable) as a result of wrong information and registration. Students must make sure that they enter all the information of the BUKPPF currently. Any sign of mistake may lead to unnecessary delay in validating your payment. Payments can now be validated by the students via clicking check payment status at the payment page.

It is very important to know that students are not the one making the payment (payment by proxy). Students should make sure they generated the invoice from the BUK student’s registration portal account. Any wrong input may lead to unnecessary delay in validating and processing of payment. Payments are usually validated and processed within 24/48 hours. If after 24/48 hours your payment is not processed, recheck the information you and go through it carefully.

Student Payment Receipt (SPR)

After payment is validated and processed within 24/48 hours students must generate, download, and print Student Payment Receipt (SPR) in order to continue with the other registration.

Course Registration

After successfully printing your SPR, Student can now register his/her courses. Make sure the course you are registering is correct because any mistake in course registration may lead to carry over.

Note:- Students are strictly advised to seek the guidance of their Level Coordinators on the courses they are supposed to register. Registering of wrong courses may attract some big penalty.

Course Registration Form (CRF)

After successfully registering your course, students must generate and download/print the Course Registration Form (CRF). The CRF contains the details of the registered courses. The CRF form is to be submitted to your level coordinator after resumption along side with other important credentials.

Registration Acknowledgement Slip (RAS)

After successfully printing the CRF, students can proceed to print the Registration Acknowledgement Slip (RAS) to acknowledge that they have successfully completed their registration process.
